Years ago, we took a family trip biking through Puglia, Italy, and I was captivated by these traditional stone dwellings. Trulli are unique whitewashed homes with conical stone roofs that date back to the 14th century. Built without mortar, they could be dismantled quickly and thus avoid paying feudal taxes—a clever piece of history. I love this modern version... would you stay in a trulli?
